Housing Pole FFB (French Building Federation)

At the Innovative Housing Challenge of the FFB Housing Pole, held in Malta at the end of November, Eden Home Montagne won the gold medal in the Remarkable Achievements category with "Chalet des Aravis" in La Clusaz (74).

The Remarkable Achievements category rewards the excellence of craftsmanship, the ability to propose projects that enrich the national heritage, as well as the technological relevance and environmental performance of these achievements.

Understanding the construction system

Fusion harmonieuse entre le design esthétique ainsi que les exigences fonctionnelles et structurelles du chalet.

Land

Optimization of the 700m2 plot with significant constraints on the implantation area: a road upstream, a road downstream, and a network servitude with the neighboring chalet, as well as topographical constraints: a 45% slope of the terrain.

Technical expertise

Vertical project on 4 levels with an absolute need for a temporary nailed wall on 3 sides to support the soil and the upstream road."

Interior architecture

Swimming pool with a counter-current swimming pool, jacuzzi & hammam, lounge area, bar, relaxation area, with cinema screen & piano, as well as a games room for children. A large living space integrating kitchen, dining area, living room, fireplace area, all open to the valley, as well as a first parental suite, three suites with private access to the balcony also overlooking the valley.

Exterior architecture

Integration of the codes of the Aravis valley: tavaillon roofing, railings and solarets, local stone, and selection of certified local woods and cladding "Bois Qualité Savoie", as well as the integration of elements that define the Eden Home Montagne signature: wooden/aluminum exterior joinery, black aluminum roofing, dressing of the eaves and large openings overlooking the view.

Awards ceremony

After more than 8 months of work on our presentation... here's our third gold medal! We'd like to thank all our industrial partners, Christine Guittoneau, our coordinator, the Housing Unit headed by Anne Cécile Renaud and our teams who worked on the construction of the chalet.
